LIFE as it is!

Dakota was born December 14 at 7:21 pm. We got out of church that sunday. YES!! She is a very smiley baby, but if she is ready to play and no one is paying attention to her, she gets mad. She loves her brother and he loves her. He is a very good helper. Owen is my little cowboy. He loves horses and riding them. He loves to be outdors and play with animals and dirt. Typical Boy! He has a radioflyer Bull that he loves to ride. He has a whole bunch of the old cowboys and horses and indians that our grandparents use to have. Do you remember those? He loves them. Simple toys are the best!!! He loves watching horse movies (Black Beauty, Flicka, Man from Snowy River) and 8 seconds ( only the bullriding parts, the rest is not appropriate). Nate and Owen are just alike. Nate is going to New mexico tomorrow for a week. the BLM is sending him their to a big Government Job convention where he will apply for many job positions. Their are 35 job openings in his field, which is Agri-business/Range management. Last year only 15 people applied in that field. I have no doubts that nate will get many job offerings. He can do it. He is very hard working, diligent and smart. He is also very disciplined. I guess I can talk about myself too. I am only 20 pounds away from pre-dakota. I only had 5 pounds to lose after owen then I got pregnant again. I am loving being a homemaker, most days. We blessed Dakota on Superbowl Sunday(February 1st). She wore my blessing dress., which was neat! We had over 30 people in our apartment for the lunchoen. I made the best homemade sloppy joes. Not from a can or a package. I made them from scratch. That is good for me.
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1/2 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons grape jelly
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
5 hamburger buns, split
Directions: In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the soup, ketchup, jelly, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, salt and celery seed. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes or until heated through. Serve on buns. Yield: 5 servings.
We put 2 teaspoons of vinegar inastead of 1 tablespoon. If you leave abything out, It does not taste right!!!
Life is great and we have been blessed very much! We are spoiled!
